Description
Carbon Press Union
CarbonPress® is a ½”- 2” carbon steel press fitting system suitable for use on black iron, epoxy coated, and galvanized schedule 10 to 40 carbon steel pipe.
When pressed, a grab ring deforms and its sharp edges grip the outside diameter of the pipe, securing the fitting axially and preventing movement. At the same time an elastomeric sealing element impinges on the pipe, creating a leak tight seal. Press technology has a multi-decade history of successful use in applications including hydronic heating and fire sprinkler systems and the conveyance of fluids, gases, oils, and low pressure steam.
CarbonPress® fittings can be pressed with Milwaukee or Ridgid tools and associated jaws/rings for carbon steel applications.
